March 2024 marks 62 years since the Ash Wednesday ’62 Storm that devastated Sea Isle City and surrounding areas in March 1962. Nature dealt a challenging hand and it was up to the citizens of Sea Isle City to play it. Please join us to learn more about this destructive storm, how the people of Sea Isle survived, and, ultimately, thrived as they came together as a community to rebuild.
This event took place on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 in the Presentation Room at the Sea Isle City Library with compelling speakers and interesting exhibits. We had a phenomenal turnout for this cathartic experience. Please enjoy the recording.
Hosted by the Sea Isle City Historical Society and Museum with support from the City of Sea Isle City and the Cape May County Library.
