Our Perfect Storm: A History of the March 1962 Storm That Devastated Sea Isle City

Friday, July 25, 2025 • 8pm • Excursion Park, JFK Blvd. & Pleasure Ave.

It has been 63 years since the Ash Wednesday ’62 Storm that devastated Sea Isle City and surrounding areas in March 1962. Nature dealt a challenging hand and it was up to the citizens of Sea Isle City to play it. Please join us on Friday, July 25th at 8pm at Excursion Park to learn more about the history of Sea Isle, this destructive storm, how the people of Sea Isle survived, and, ultimately, thrived as they came together as a community to rebuild.

This engaging multimedia presentation will be presented by Dr. Joseph A. LaRosa, Jr, and will feature eyewitness accounts from storm survivors.

Limited bench seating available. Don’t forget to bring your beach chairs and blankets for the lawn!
