Once Upon a Restaurant Dinner Fundraiser Sea Isle City Historical Society Museum


Once Upon a Restaurant

Sunday, May 3, 2026 • 5pm • The Tavern, Seaville, NJ

Join us for this special fundraiser!

Enjoy a traditional 7-course Italian meal while reminiscing about two of Sea Isle’s staples, Mazzella’s and Screnci’s. Listen to family members share the history of their family and business.

Tickets are $85.00 each.

Selected wines paired with each course will be available at the cash bar.

Participate in a raffle featuring assorted Sea Isle inspired gift baskets!

Donations Needed for Raffle Fundraiser

April 27, 2026

As part of our Dinner Fundraiser on May 3rd, we are having a Raffle Basket Fundraiser. We are asking local businesses for donations to the Raffle Baskets. This is a great way to support the museum while promoting your business. 
 
Donate items, services, gift certificates, or create your own gift basket.
 
Donations can be dropped off at the museum or scheduled for pickup by Monday, April 27th.

Sea Isle City Arbor Day

Arbor Day

Saturday, April 25, 2026 • 12pm • Community Center, Sea Isle City, NJ

Sea Isle City’s Beautification Committee, Environmental Commission, Garden Club, Green Team, Historical Society, and Shade Tree Committee will host their annual Arbor Day Celebration at 12 noon on Saturday, April 25, inside Sea Isle City’s new Community Center at 4500 Central Avenue. 

This free event will feature guest speakers, a poetry reading, complementary light refreshments and the presentation of this year’s “Green Thumb Award” to a municipal employee who has helped beautify Sea Isle City.  Also, several long-standing trees that were planted by local students decades ago (and are still in place on the grounds of the new Community Center) will be re-dedicated.

Our Perfect Storm

Friday, July 24, 2026 • 7pm • Excursion Park, Sea Isle City, NJ

Stories and history of the March 1962 Storm that devastated Sea Isle City presented by local historians and storm-survivors, Dr. Joseph A. LaRosa, Jr. and Pat Haffert. 

Come early at 7pm to meet the author and explore wild storm photos. 

Limited seating is available. Bring a beach chair or blanket.

Sea Isle City’s History of Lifeguarding

Tuesday, July 28, 2026 • 7pm • Excursion Park, Sea Isle City, NJ

Tom McCann presents on Sea Isle’s long and important history of lifeguarding. 

Come at 7pm for an author meet-and-greet, lifeguards, row boat photo opportunities, historical photos, and memorabilia. Presentation will start at 8pm.

Limited seating is available. Bring a beach chair or blanket.

New Jersey Black Heritage Trail

Sea Isle City has been accepted for inclusion in the New Jersey Black Heritage Trail. The unveiling of the trail marker at the site of the Niagara Movement’s final two meetings at the original Methodist Church in Sea Isle City will be scheduled for 2026.
